Like many modern couples today, John and Alexis met on a dating app. Alexis was attending a swipe party and was originally going to swipe left on John, until a friend convinced her to swipe right and give him a shot. They started messaging back and forth, with Alexis usually taking a week or two to respond, but it was always with full paragraphs and kept the conversation going, so John decided to roll with it. Three months after they started messaging, they finally had their first date.
John planned trivia at a local brewery, but upon arrival found out that it was going to be sports trivia that night, which neither John nor Alexis would have been very good at, so the two just ordered beers and sat outside. Despite trivia not going as planned the two had a wonderful time, planning their next date for the following week. And their next one the week after that. And so on and so forth it went for a month and a half when they finally decided to make things official.
John knew Alexis was the one when they were waiting in line for food at a literal shack in the middle of a parking lot, and Alexis spontaneously started doing a silly dance. For Alexis, the moment was when John asked why she hadn’t left anything at his apartment yet.
Three years, three animals, a house and many adventures together later, John proposed. Alexis said “duh”. The two are excited for October 25th, 2025 to (finally) tie the knot and begin the next chapter in their lives together.
